THE BREAKFAST CLUB.

Perhaps on a lighter note...

Every Friday morning at 6:50am my brother and I jump on a train to go to the chiropractor with Father Bear before heading to the Galleon cafe in StKilda for breakfast. While I'm waiting for my scrambled tofu and enoki mushrooms, I have just enough time to scribble a blind contour drawing of the other two members of our breakfast party, often with a conversation fragment or two thrown in for good measure.

To anyone who hasn't ever seen brother Tom and father Glynn, this is EXACTLY what they look like. Don't be fooled by the floating lines, open shapes and overall grotesque appearance - I'm giving Da Vinci a run for his money.
I swear.

BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD

Just finished the third drawing of Crazy Tom Mc-Cee. It's not as good as the other two I did earlier in the holidays (see: "I'M VERY FOND OF TEA!") and I couldn't get the colours to show up the way they do in real life because I'm working under artificial desk lamp light, but you get the gist.

THESE HOURLIES...

These hourlies are bringing me down. I didn't like the way I constructed the last hourly comic post (see: I'LL KEEP YOU POST-ITED) so I've done it differently this time. These are a few of the betterish ones from the past couple of weeks. I'm about 30 hours behind at the moment *sigh*. Too much time hourlying, not enough spent living.

These are in order, but they were taken in bits and pieces from different days.

The Pentax SLR has been resurrected from the depths of storage.
Still learning - never really used any form of film camera outside of disposables.

For the record, none of those are of me. It's all brother Tom. My parents couldn't even distinguish between us.

I'LL KEEP YOU POST-ITED.

I started drawing hourly comics again at 9am on 1/1/10. The idea is to draw one comic square to describe something that happened during the hour, every waking hour. This was something that I kept up for a few months last year, but I was way too busy nearing assessment and had to stop.

Credit goes to Tom Craine for telling me the idea - it's something people do on one select day and then upload to an online forum, but I turned it into more of a diary thing and kept it up instead.

So these are some of the better ones I've done this year. Overall the quality of the content this year is much lower than that of last year. I'm hoping it's just a stage and that they'll get better. Sorry.
