INSTRUCTIONS:

"Do it."

"...What do we do?"

"Just do it.. And then we'll criticise you."

POST-IT.

I was looking through past post-its.

Post hourly comic project phase two.

This is a selection from the start of the year. Many of them weren't completely finished. I picked a few of the better ones to post up here.

Yeah, I'm posting on this post. I.T. style.

GOOD MORNING

One of the few friends I can count on to meet me at a hard to reach cafe, bright and early without any complaint.

1998.

The first time I ever realised I might be alright at drawing was in 1998 (I'm not sure I'm old enough to start labelling life events by the year in which they occurred. But I figure context is relative).

I was in year two.
The two boys who I thought were the best at drawing and colouring-in in the
class approached me, requesting I copy the Coca Cola logo for their project.

I was filled with a mixture of diffidence, wonder and delight.

A LITTLE TWISTED

I finally finished 2nd year drawing at the VCA last Friday.
Going a little batty toward the end of it.

At 4:00am, the scanner was proving a bit of a welcome distraction, and a whole lot of fun. Luckily, the 80 odd facial distortions I scanned one night fitted nicely with trends in the rest of my work.

Late night production and the art of procrastination.

BACK FOR SECONDS

These few photos were taken on footy grand final day round two at Hamish's.
I know I'm a bit slow off the mark, but here I am.

FINALLY.
And all because it's time to write my art history essay, once and for all.

SKETCH SHOW.

Excerpts from my sketchbook.

Ted, one of our art history lecturers, has made a habit of not having any source material to show us and instead playing scenes from movies like Jurassic Park and explaining how its really all about sex.

Most of my sketchbook drawings are just of people on the train.

Or collages out of the mX.

ASSORTED OTHERS.

There's an array of photos dating all the way back from February to just recently that I've wanted to put up, but don't really fit anywhere or deserve their own post. So here's a collection of odds and ends. Bits and pieces. Assorted others.

From the studios...
